Privacy policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026. This policy describes how DryEyeDrops collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website or subscribe to our newsletter.

Information we collect

Newsletter email addresses

If you choose to subscribe, we collect the email address you provide and basic subscription metadata (for example, time of signup and confirmation status). Newsletter delivery is handled by our email provider (Beehiiv), which processes your address to send messages and manage unsubscribes as described in their terms. We use this information only to send the newsletter and related service messages unless you opt in separately to other communications.

Analytics (privacy-focused)

We do not use Google Analytics on this site. Instead, we may use a lightweight, privacy-oriented analytics tool such as Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics (or a comparable alternative) that avoids invasive profiling and minimizes personal data collection. We use aggregated analytics to see which pages are useful, fix broken links, and plan new guides. You can use browser controls or extensions to limit cookies and scripts.

Affiliate cookies & partner tracking

When you click certain outbound links to merchants or telehealth partners, those sites may set cookies or read cookies to attribute referrals and operate their services. We do not control third-party cookies. Affiliate networks and retailers may set cookies when you click outbound product links so purchases can be attributed to DryEyeDrops. For more on funding, see our disclosure page.

Server and security logs

Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps in server logs. We use this information to maintain security and reliability.

How we use information

Sharing

We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, email delivery or analytics), subject to contracts that limit their use of the data. We may disclose information if required by law or in connection with a legitimate legal process.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any newsletter message. You may adjust cookie settings in your browser; note that blocking cookies can affect how affiliate links function on partner sites.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will promptly investigate.
